Explanation:
The mentioned narration is weak in its chain of transmission; however, the issue that is stated within it is established from other authentic narrations—that is, when a harbi disbeliever (harbi kafir) enters Islam of his own free will, without any external compulsion, then his wealth, whether it is movable property or immovable property, both are forbidden (haram) [to be taken].

Hadith Narrator:
«حضرت صخر بن عیلہ رضی اللہ عنہ » Sakhr—the "Sad" has a fatha and the "Kha" is sakin (unvowelled).
He was from the Ahmas tribe.
Abu Hazim was his kunyah (agnomen).
He was honored with the companionship (sharaf al-suhbah) of the Prophet.
Only this hadith is narrated from him.

Benefits and Issues:
➊
This narration is weak in its chain of transmission.
However, the issue that is mentioned in it is established by other authentic narrations.
That is, if a harbi (one with whom there is war) becomes Muslim,
then his life, wealth, and honor become protected.
➋
If a harbi flees from confrontation and later returns after embracing Islam, then his wealth will not be confiscated.
(Nayl al-Awtar, Chapter: That the harbi, if he accepts Islam before being overpowered, his wealth is protected: 13/8)
