وعن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما قال : قتل رجل رجلا على عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم فجعل النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ديته اثني عشر ألفا. رواه الأربعة ورجح النسائي وأبو حاتم إرساله.
Ibn ’Abbas (RAA) narrated that, 'A man killed another man during the lifetime of the Prophet (ﷺ), so the Prophet (ﷺ) decided that his Diyah would be 12 thousand (Dirhams).' Related by the four Imams.

This hadith proves that if someone does not possess camels, the blood money (diyah) can also be given in the form of cash—whether the prevailing currency is dinar, dirham, or banknotes, etc.
And the cash will be equivalent to the value of the camels.
