Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "(There are) two words which are dear to the Beneficent (Allah) and very light (easy) for the tongue (to say), but very heavy in weight in the balance. They are: ''Subhan Allah wa-bi hamdihi'' and ''Subhan Allah Al-`Azim."a
وأن أعمال بني آدم وقولهم يوزن ، وقال مجاهدٌ : القسطاس العدل بالرومية ، ويقال : القسط مصدر المقسط ، وهو العادل ، وأما القاسط فهو الجائر .
And on the Day of Resurrection, We shall set up the just balances, and the deeds and words of people will be weighed in them. Mujahid said that the word «قسطاس» which appears in the Noble Qur'an is a word of the Roman language, and its meaning is "scales." «قسط» is a verbal noun with kasrah, derived from «مقسط», and the meaning of «مقسط» is "just" and "fair." And in Surah Al-Jinn, the word «قاستون» that appears is the plural of «قاسط», and it means "wrongdoers" and "sinners."
