The Book of Tauhid (Islamic Monotheism)
بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي دُعَاءِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُمَّتَهُ إِلَى تَوْحِيدِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى:
(1) Chapter. What has been said about the Prophet (p.b.u.h.) inviting his followers (nation) to Tauhid Allah i.e., Islamic Monotheism (worshiping none but Allah Alone).
2بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى: {قُلِ ادْعُوا اللَّهَ أَوِ ادْعُوا الرَّحْمَنَ أَيًّا مَا تَدْعُوا فَلَهُ الأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَى} :
(2) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “Say: Invoke Allah or invoke the Most Gracious (Allah), by whatever name you invoke Him (it is the same), for to Him belong the Best Names.” (V.17:110)
3بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِينُ} :
(3) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “Verily Allah is the All-Provider, Owner of Power, the Most Strong.” (V.51:58)
4بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ فَلاَ يُظْهِرُ عَلَى غَيْبِهِ أَحَدًا} :
(4) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “(He Alone is) the All-Knower of the Unseen, and He reveals to none His Unseen.” (V.72:26)
5بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {السَّلاَمُ الْمُؤْمِنُ} :
(5) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “…(Allah is He Who is) the One Free from all defects, the Giver of security...” (V.59:23)
6بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {مَلِكِ النَّاسِ} :
(6) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “The King of mankind.” (V.114:2)
7بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَهْوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ} :
(7) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.” (V.14:4), (V.16:60), (V.45:37)
8بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ} :
(8) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And it is He Who has created the heavens and the earth in truth…” (V.6:73)
9بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَكَانَ اللَّهُ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا} :
(9) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And Allah is Ever All-Heater, All-Seer.” (V.4:134)
10بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {قُلْ هُوَ الْقَادِرُ} :
(10) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “Say: He has power to (send torment on you from above)...” (V.6:65)
11بَابُ مُقَلِّبِ الْقُلُوبِ وَقَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَنُقَلِّبُ أَفْئِدَتَهُمْ وَأَبْصَارَهُمْ} :
(11) Chapter. The One Who turns the hearts. The Statement of Allah: "And We shall turn their hearts and their eyes…" (V.6:110)
12بَابُ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مِائَةَ اسْمٍ إِلاَّ وَاحِدًا:
(12) Chapter. Allah has one hundred Names less One (ninety-nine).
13بَابُ السُّؤَالِ بِأَسْمَاءِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى، وَالاِسْتِعَاذَةِ بِهَا:
(13) Chapter. (What is said regarding) asking Allah with His Names and seeking refuge with them.
14بَابُ مَا يُذْكَرُ فِي الذَّاتِ وَالنُّعُوتِ وَأَسَامِي اللَّهِ:
(14) Chapter. What is mentioned regarding Adh-Dhat (the Self of Allah), His Qualities and His Names.
15بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَيُحَذِّرُكُمُ اللَّهُ نَفْسَهُ} :
(15) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “… And Allah warns you against Himself (i.e., punishment)...” (V.3:28)
16بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {كُلُّ شَيْءٍ هَالِكٌ إِلاَّ وَجْهَهُ} :
(16) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “... Everytl1ing will perish save His Face...” (V.28:88) [That means that Allah will never perish].
17بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَلِتُصْنَعَ عَلَى عَيْنِي} تُغَذَّى:
(17) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “... In order that you [O Musa (Moses)] may be brought up under My Eye.” (V.20:39)
18بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ: {هُوَ اللَّهُ الْخَالِقُ الْبَارِئُ الْمُصَوِّرُ} :
(18) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor of all things, the Bestower of forms…” (V.59:24)
19بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {لِمَا خَلَقْتُ بِيَدَيَّ} :
(19) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “... To one whom I have created with Both My Hands...” (V.38:75)
20بَابُ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لاَ شَخْصَ أَغْيَرُ مِنَ اللَّهِ»:
(20) Chapter. The statement of the Prophet (p.b.u.h.): “No person has more Ghaira than Allah.”
21بَابُ: {قُلْ أَيُّ شَيْءٍ أَكْبَرُ شَهَادَةً قُلِ اللَّهُ} :
(21) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “Say (O Muhammad (p.b.u.h.)): ‘What thing is the most great in witness?’ Say: ‘Allah…’ ” (V.6:19)
22بَابُ: {وَكَانَ عَرْشُهُ عَلَى الْمَاءِ} ، {وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ} :
(22) Chapter. (The Statement of Allah): “… And His Throne was on the water…” (V.11:7) "…The Lord of the Supreme Throne." (V.27:26)
23بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {تَعْرُجُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ إِلَيْهِ} :
(23) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “The angels and the Ruh [Jibril (Gabriel)] ascend to Him...” (V.70:4) The Statement of Allah: "To Him ascend (all) the goodly words…" (V.35:10)
24بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاضِرَةٌ إِلَى رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ} :
(24) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). Looking at their Lord.” (V.75:22,23)
25بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ رَحْمَةَ اللَّهِ قَرِيبٌ مِنَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ} :
(25) Chapter. What is said regarding the Statement of Allah: “... Surely, Allah’s Mercy is (ever) near unto the good-doers.” (V.7:56)
26بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُمْسِكُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ أَنْ تَزُولاَ} :
(26) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “Verily, Allah grasps the heavens and the earth lest they move away from their places…” (V.35:41)
27بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي تَخْلِيقِ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَغَيْرِهَا مِنَ الْخَلاَئِقِ:
(27) Chapter. What has been said regarding the creation of the heavens, earth and other created beings
28بَابُ قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا الْمُرْسَلِينَ} :
(28) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And, verily, Our Word has gone forth of old for Our slaves -- the Messengers.” (V.37:171)
29بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّمَا قَوْلُنَا لِشَيْءٍ} :
(29) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “Verily! Our Word unto a thing when We intend it…” (V.16:40)
30بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {قُلْ لَوْ كَانَ الْبَحْرُ مِدَادًا لِكَلِمَاتِ رَبِّي لَنَفِدَ الْبَحْرُ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَنْفَدَ كَلِمَاتُ رَبِّي وَلَوْ جِئْنَا بِمِثْلِهِ مَدَدًا} :
(30) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “Say: (O Muhammad (p.b.u.h.) to mankind): If the sea were ink for (writing) the Words of my Lord, surely the sea would be exhausted before the Words of my Lord would be finished, even if we brought (another sea) like it, for its aid." (V.18:109)
31بَابٌ في الْمَشِيئَةِ وَالإِرَادَةِ:
(31) Chapter. (Allah’s) Wish and Will.
32بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَلاَ تَنْفَعُ الشَّفَاعَةُ عِنْدَهُ إِلاَّ لِمَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ حَتَّى إِذَا فُزِّعَ عَنْ قُلُوبِهِمْ قَالُوا مَاذَا قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ قَالُوا الْحَقَّ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيرُ} :
(32) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “Intercession with Him profits not, except for him whom He permits. So much so that when fear is banished from their (angels) hearts, they (angels) say,’What is it that your Lord has said?’ They say, ’The truth. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.’ " (V.34:23) Allah has does not say, "What is it that your Lord created?"
33بَابُ كَلاَمِ الرَّبِّ مَعَ جِبْرِيلَ وَنِدَاءِ اللَّهِ الْمَلاَئِكَةَ:
(33) Chapter. The Talk of the Lord with Jibril (Gabriel) and Allah’s Call for the angels.
34بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {أَنْزَلَهُ بِعِلْمِهِ وَالْمَلاَئِكَةُ يَشْهَدُونَ} :
(34) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “... He (Allah) has sent it (the Quran) down with His Knowledge, and the angels bear witness...” (V.4:166)
35بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {يُرِيدُونَ أَنْ يُبَدِّلُوا كَلاَمَ اللَّهِ} :
(35) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “... They want to change Allah’s Words...” (V.48:15)
36بَابُ كَلاَمِ الرَّبِّ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَعَ الأَنْبِيَاءِ وَغَيْرِهِمْ:
(36) Chapter. The Talk of the Lord to the Prophets and others on the Day of Resurrection.
37بَابُ قَوْلِهِ: {وَكَلَّمَ اللَّهُ مُوسَى تَكْلِيمًا} :
(37) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “... And to Musa (Moses) Allah spoke directly.” (V.4:164)
38بَابُ كَلاَمِ الرَّبِّ مَعَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ:
(38) Chapter. The Talk of the Lord to the people of Paradise
39بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {فَلاَ تَجْعَلُوا لِلَّهِ أَنْدَادًا} :
(40) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “... Then do not set up rivals unto Allah (in worship) while you know (that He Alone has the right to be worshipped).” (V.2:22)
40بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَمَا كُنْتُمْ تَسْتَتِرُونَ أَنْ يَشْهَدَ عَلَيْكُمْ سَمْعُكُمْ وَلاَ أَبْصَارُكُمْ وَلاَ جُلُودُكُمْ وَلَكِنْ ظَنَنْتُمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَعْلَمُ كَثِيرًا مِمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ} :
(41) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And you have not been hiding yourselves, lest your ears, and your eyes and your skins testify against you, but you thought that Allah knew not much of what you were doing.” (V.41:22)
41بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْنٍ} :
(42) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “... Every day He is (engaged) in some affair (such as giving honour to some, disgrace to some, life to some, death to some, etc.)!” (V.55:29)
42بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {لاَ تُحَرِّكْ بِهِ لِسَانَكَ} :
(43) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad (p.b.u.h.)) to make haste therewith." (V.75:16) And the Prophet (p.b.u.h.) did that at the time of the revelation of the Divine Revelation.
43بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَأَسِرُّوا قَوْلَكُمْ أَوِ اجْهَرُوا بِهِ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ أَلاَ يَعْلَمُ مَنْ خَلَقَ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ} :
(44) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And whether you keep your talk secret or disclose it. Verily, He is the All-Knower of what is in the breasts (of men). Should not He Who has created know? And He is the Most Kind and Coueteous (to His slaves), All-Aware (of everything).” (V.67:13,14)
44بَابُ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ الْقُرْآنَ فَهْوَ يَقُومُ بِهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ، وَرَجُلٌ يَقُولُ لَوْ أُوتِيتُ مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيَ هَذَا فَعَلْتُ كَمَا يَفْعَلُ»:
(45) Chapter. The statement of the Prophet (p.b.u.h.): "A man whom Allah gave the knowledge of the Quran and he read it [in Salat (prayer)] during the hours of the night and the day; and another man says, ‘If I have been given what this man has been given, I would do the same as he is doing.’ " So Allah’s Messenger (p.b.u.h.) showed that his reciting the Quran in Salat in his action.
45بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ رَبِّكَ وَإِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالاَتِهِ} :
(46) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “O Messenger (Muhammad (p.b.u.h.))! Proclaim (the Message) which has been sent down to you from your Lord. And if you do not, then you have not conveyed His Message...” (V.5:67)
46بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {قُلْ فَأْتُوا بِالتَّوْرَاةِ فَاتْلُوهَا} :
(47) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “… Say ( O Muhammad (p.b.u.h.)): Bring here the Taurat (Torah) and recite it…” (V.3:93)
47بَابُ وَسَمَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الصَّلاَةَ عَمَلاً:
(48) Chapter. The Prophet (p.b.u.h.) called As-Salat (the prayer) a deed.
48بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ الإِنْسَانَ خُلِقَ هَلُوعًا إِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ جَزُوعًا وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ الْخَيْرُ مَنُوعًا} :
(49) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “Verily, man (disbliever) was created very impatient. Irritable (discontented) when evil touches him. And niggardly when good touches him.” (V.70:19,21)
49بَابُ ذِكْرِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَرِوَايَتِهِ عَنْ رَبِّهِ:
(50) Chapter. What the Prophet (p.b.u.h.) mentioned and narrated of his Lord’s Sayings.
50بَابُ مَا يَجُوزُ مِنْ تَفْسِيرِ التَّوْرَاةِ وَغَيْرِهَا مِنْ كُتُبِ اللَّهِ بِالْعَرَبِيَّةِ وَغَيْرِهَا:
(51) Chapter. What is allowed as regards the interpretation of the Taurat (Torah) and other Holy Books (revealed by Allah) in Arabic and in other languages as Allah says: "…Bring here the Taurat (Torah) and recite it if you are truthful." (V.3:93)
51بَابُ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الْمَاهِرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ مَعَ الْكِرَامِ الْبَرَرَةِ»:
(52) Chapter. The statement of the Prophet (p.b.u.h.): “A person who is perfect in reciting and memorizing the Quran will be with the honourable, pious and just scribes (in heaven).” and, "Adorn the Quran by reciting it with your (pleasant) voices."
52بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {فَاقْرَءُوا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ} :
(53) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “... So, recite as much of the Quran as may be easy for you...” (V.73:20)
53بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ} :
(54) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand and remember...” (V.54:17)
54بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {بَلْ هُوَ قُرْآنٌ مَجِيدٌ فِي لَوْحٍ مَحْفُوظٍ} :
(55) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “Nay! This is a Glorious Quran (Inscribed), in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet).” (V.85:21,22)
55بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ} :
(56) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “While Allah has created you and what you make!” (V.37:96) ".
56بَابُ قِرَاءَةِ الْفَاجِرِ وَالْمُنَافِقِ، وَأَصْوَاتُهُمْ وَتِلاَوَتُهُمْ لاَ تُجَاوِزُ حَنَاجِرَهُمْ:
(57) Chapter. The recitation of the Quran by an impious person or a hypocrite; and the fact that their voices and recitation do not exceed their throats (i.e., do not benefit them).
57بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَنَضَعُ الْمَوَازِينَ الْقِسْطَ} :
(58) Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And We shall set up Balances of justice on the Day of Resurrection…” (V.21:47)
