Hadith 6991
قَالَ مُجَاهِدٌ أَسْلَمَا سَلَّمَا مَا أُمِرَا بِهِ وَتَلَّهُ وَضَعَ وَجْهَهُ بِالْأَرْضِ .
And Allah the Exalted said (in Surah As-Saffat): "So when (Ishmael) reached the age to walk with him, (Ibrahim) said: 'O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you, so what do you think?' (Ishmael) replied: 'O my father! Do as you are commanded. If Allah wills, you will find me among the patient.' So when they both submitted (to Allah's will), and he laid him down on his forehead, and We called out to him: 'O Ibrahim! You have fulfilled the vision.' Indeed, thus do We reward the doers of good." Mujahid said that «أسلما» means that both submitted to the command that was given to them. «وتله» means his face was placed on the ground, laid down on his forehead.
Narrated Ibn `Umar: Some people were shown the Night of Qadr as being in the last seven days (of the month of Ramadan). The Prophet said, "Seek it in the last seven days (of Ramadan).
And Allah the Exalted said (in Surah Yusuf): "When Yusuf (peace be upon him) said to his father, 'O my father! Indeed, I have seen (in a dream) eleven stars and the sun and the moon; I saw them prostrating to me.' He said, 'O my dear son! Do not relate your dream to your brothers, lest they plot against you. Indeed, Satan is a clear enemy to man. And thus will your Lord choose you and teach you the interpretation of dreams and complete His favor upon you and upon the family of Yaqub, just as He completed it upon your fathers, Ibrahim and Ishaq before. Indeed, your Lord is Knowing, Wise.'" And Allah the Exalted said (in Surah Yusuf): "And Yusuf (peace be upon him) said, 'O my father! This is the interpretation of my former dream; my Lord has made it come true. And He was certainly good to me when He took me out of prison and brought you all from the desert after Satan had sown discord between me and my brothers. Indeed, my Lord is Subtle in what He wills. Indeed, He is the Knowing, the Wise. O my Lord! You have given me sovereignty and taught me the interpretation of dreams. Creator of the heavens and the earth! You are my Protector in this world and the Hereafter. Cause me to die a Muslim and join me with the righteous.'" «فاطر» «بديع», «مبتدع», «بارئ», «خالق» are synonymous in meaning. «بدء.», «بادئة.» means desert and villages.
