The Book of The Interpretation of Dreams
بَابُ أَوَّلُ مَا بُدِئَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الْوَحْيِ الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ:
(1) Chapter. The commencement of the Divine Revelation to Allah’s Messenger was in the form of good (righteous) dreams.
2بَابُ رُؤْيَا الصَّالِحِينَ:
(2) Chapter. The dreams of righteous people (faithful believers).
3بَابُ الرُّؤْيَا مِنَ اللَّهِ:
(3) Chapter. Good dreams are from Allah.
4بَابُ الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ جُزْءٌ مِنْ سِتَّةٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنَ النُّبُوَّةِ:
(4) Chapter. “A righteous good dream that comes true is one of the forty-six parts of An-Nubuwwa (Prophethood).”
5بَابُ الْمُبَشِّرَاتِ:
(5) Chapter. Al-Mubashshirat (glad tidings).
6بَابُ التَّوَاطُؤُ عَلَى الرُّؤْيَا:
(8) Chapter. If a number of persons have the same dream.
7بَابُ رُؤْيَا أَهْلِ السُّجُونِ وَالْفَسَادِ وَالشِّرْكِ:
(9) Chapter. The dreams of prisoners, evil-doers and Mushrikun.
8بَابُ مَنْ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْمَنَامِ:
(10) Chapter. Whoever saw the Prophet in a dream.
9بَابُ رُؤْيَا اللَّيْلِ:
(11) Chapter. Night dreams.
10بَابُ الرُّؤْيَا بِالنَّهَارِ:
(12) Chapter. Dreams (while sleeping) in the daytime.
11بَابُ رُؤْيَا النِّسَاءِ:
(13) Chapter. The dreams of women.
12بَابُ الْحُلْمُ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ:
(14) Chapter. A bad dream is from Satan.
13بَابُ اللَّبَنِ:
(15) Chapter. The milk (see in a dream).
14بَابُ إِذَا جَرَى اللَّبَنُ فِي أطرافه أَوْ أَظَافِيرِهِ:
(16) Chapter. (If one sees in a dream) that milk is flowing in his limbs or nails.
15بَابُ الْقَمِيصِ فِي الْمَنَامِ:
(17) Chapter. (The seeing of) a shirt in a dream.
16بَابُ جَرِّ الْقَمِيصِ فِي الْمَنَامِ:
(18) Chapter. What is said as regards dragging (a long Shirt) on the ground in a dream.
17بَابُ الْخُضَرِ فِي الْمَنَامِ وَالرَّوْضَةِ الْخَضْرَاءِ:
(19) Chapter. (The seeing of) green colour in a dream, and (the seeingof) a green garden (in a dream).
18بَابُ كَشْفِ الْمَرْأَةِ فِي الْمَنَامِ:
(20) Chapter. Removing the veil of a woman in a dream.
19بَابُ ثِيَابِ الْحَرِيرِ فِي الْمَنَامِ:
(21) Chapter. The seeing of silken garments in a dream.
20بَابُ الْمَفَاتِيحِ فِي الْيَدِ:
(22) Chapter. The seeing of keys in one’s hand (in a dream).
21بَابُ التَّعْلِيقِ بِالْعُرْوَةِ وَالْحَلْقَةِ:
(23) Chapter. Taking hold or handhold or a ring.
22بَابُ الإِسْتَبْرَقِ وَدُخُولِ الْجَنَّةِ فِي الْمَنَامِ:
(25) Chapter. (Seeing) AI-Istabraq (a kind of thick silk) (in a dream) and entering Paradise.
23بَابُ الْقَيْدِ فِي الْمَنَامِ:
(26) Chapter. (Seeing) oneself fettered in a dream.
24بَابُ الْعَيْنِ الْجَارِيَةِ فِي الْمَنَامِ:
(27) Chapter. (Seeing) a flowing spring in a dream.
25بَابُ نَزْعِ الْمَاءِ مِنَ الْبِئْرِ حَتَّى يَرْوَى النَّاسُ:
(28) Chapter. Drawing water from a welltill everybody’s thirst is quenched.
26بَابُ نَزْعِ الذَّنُوبِ وَالذَّنُوبَيْنِ مِنَ الْبِئْرِ بِضَعْفٍ:
(29) Chapter. Drawing one or two buckets full of water from a well with weakness.
27بَابُ الاِسْتِرَاحَةِ فِي الْمَنَامِ:
(30) Chapter. To take rest in a dream.
28بَابُ الْقَصْرِ فِي الْمَنَامِ:
(31) Chapter. (seeing) a palace in a dream.
29بَابُ الْوُضُوءِ فِي الْمَنَامِ:
(32) Chapter. Performing ablution in a dream.
30بَابُ الطَّوَافِ بِالْكَعْبَةِ فِي الْمَنَامِ:
(33) Chapter. The performance of Tawaff around the Kabah in a dream.
31بَابُ إِذَا أَعْطَى فَضْلَهُ غَيْرَهُ فِي النَّوْمِ:
(34) Chapter. If someone gives the remaining of one’s drink to another in a dream.
32بَابُ الأَمْنِ وَذَهَابِ الرَّوْعِ فِي الْمَنَامِ:
(35) Chapter. The feeling of security and the disappearance of fear in dream.
33بَابُ الأَخْذِ عَلَى الْيَمِينِ فِي النَّوْمِ:
(36) Chapter. To be taken to the right side in a dream.
34بَابُ الْقَدَحِ فِي النَّوْمِ:
(37) Chapter. (seeing) a bowl (cup) in a dream.
35بَابُ إِذَا طَارَ الشَّيْءُ فِي الْمَنَامِ:
(38) Chapter. If something flies in a dream.
36بَابُ إِذَا رَأَى بَقَرًا تُنْحَرُ:
(39) Chapter. If one sees (in a dream) cows being slaughtered.
37بَابُ النَّفْخِ فِي الْمَنَامِ:
(40) Chapter. To blow out in a dream.
38بَابُ إِذَا رَأَى أَنَّهُ أَخْرَجَ الشَّيْءَ مِنْ كُورَةٍ فَأَسْكَنَهُ مَوْضِعًا آخَرَ:
(41) Chapter. If one sees in a dream that he takes something out of some place and places it at another place.
39بَابُ الْمَرْأَةِ السَّوْدَاءِ:
(42) Chapter. (To see) a black woman (in a dream).
40بَابُ الْمَرْأَةِ الثَّائِرَةِ الرَّأْسِ:
(43) Chapter. (Seeing) a lady with unkempt hair (in a dream).
41بَابُ إِذَا هَزَّ سَيْفًا فِي الْمَنَامِ:
(44) Chapter. If someone waves a sword in a dream.
42بَابُ مَنْ كَذَبَ فِي حُلُمِهِ:
(45) Chapter. Whoever tells a lie by narrating a dream which he did not see.
43بَابُ إِذَا رَأَى مَا يَكْرَهُ فَلاَ يُخْبِرْ بِهَا وَلاَ يَذْكُرْهَا:
(46) Chapter. If some one saw a bad dream which he disliked, he should not be tell it to anybody, nor mention it.
44بَابُ مَنْ لَمْ يَرَ الرُّؤْيَا لأَوَّلِ عَابِرٍ إِذَا لَمْ يُصِبْ:
(47) Chapter. Whoever considers the interpretation of the first interpreter of one’s dream as not invalid if he does not interpret it correctly.
45بَابُ تَعْبِيرِ الرُّؤْيَا بَعْدَ صَلاَةِ الصُّبْحِ:
(48) Chapter. The interpretation of dreams after the Fajr prayer.
