Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet said, "Give the Fara'id (the shares of the inheritance that are prescribed in the Qur'an) to those who are entitled to receive it. Then whatever remains, should be given to the closest male relative of the deceased ."
And Zaid bin Thabit said: When a man or a woman leaves behind a daughter, her share is half, and if there are two or more daughters, they will receive two-thirds. And if along with them there is a (their brother) boy, then first the shares of the heirs will be given, and whatever remains, from that the boy will receive a share equal to that of two girls.
