بَابُ الْيَمِينِ الْغَمُوسِ:
Chapter. Al-Ghamus oath.
Hadith 6675
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُقَاتِلٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا فِرَاسٌ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الشَّعْبِيَّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الْكَبَائِرُ : الْإِشْرَاكُ بِاللَّهِ ، وَعُقُوقُ الْوَالِدَيْنِ ، وَقَتْلُ النَّفْسِ ، وَالْيَمِينُ الْغَمُوسُ " .
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Amr: The Prophet said, "The biggest sins are: To join others in worship with Allah; to be undutiful to one's parents; to kill somebody unlawfully; and to take an oath Al-Ghamus.
وَلا تَتَّخِذُوا أَيْمَانَكُمْ دَخَلا بَيْنَكُمْ فَتَزِلَّ قَدَمٌ بَعْدَ ثُبُوتِهَا وَتَذُوقُوا السُّوءَ بِمَا صَدَدْتُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلَكُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ سورة النحل آية 94 دَخَلًا مَكْرًا وَخِيَانَةً.
And Allah has said (in Surah An-Nahl) «ولا تتخذوا أيمانكم دخلا بينكم فتزل قدم بعد ثبوتها وتذوقوا السوء بما صددتم عن سبيل الله ولكم عذاب عظيم»: "And do not make your oaths a means of discord among yourselves, lest a foot should slip after being firmly planted, and you taste the punishment of the Fire for having hindered (men) from the path of Allah, and you will have a severe punishment." In this verse, the word «دخلا» means deceit and fraud. The meaning of «غمس» is to drown.
Hadith 6675
وَلا تَتَّخِذُوا أَيْمَانَكُمْ دَخَلا بَيْنَكُمْ فَتَزِلَّ قَدَمٌ بَعْدَ ثُبُوتِهَا وَتَذُوقُوا السُّوءَ بِمَا صَدَدْتُمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلَكُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ سورة النحل آية 94 دَخَلًا مَكْرًا وَخِيَانَةً.
