The Book of Invocations
بَابُ فَضْلِ التَّسْبِيحِ:
(65) Chapter. The superiority of Tasbih [i.e., saying Subhan Allah (Glorified be Allah)].
Hadith 6405
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ قَالَ : سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ فِي يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ ، حُطَّتْ خَطَايَاهُ ، وَإِنْ كَانَتْ مِثْلَ زَبَدِ الْبَحْرِ " .
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever says, 'Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi,' one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea.
Hadith 6406
حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : "كَلِمَتَانِ خَفِيفَتَانِ عَلَى اللِّسَانِ ثَقِيلَتَانِ فِي الْمِيزَانِ حَبِيبَتَانِ إِلَى الرَّحْمَنِ : سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ ، سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ " .
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "There are two expressions which are very easy for the tongue to say, but they are very heavy in the balance and are very dear to The Beneficent (Allah), and they are, 'Subhan Allah Al- `Azim and 'Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi.'"
