كتاب الاستئذانThe Book of Asking Permission
بَابُ مَنِ اتَّكَأَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ أَصْحَابِهِ:
Chapter. Whoever sat in a reclining posture in the company of his companions.
Hadith 6273
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْجُرَيْرِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَكْبَرِ الْكَبَائِرِ ؟ " ، قَالُوا : بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : " الْإِشْرَاكُ بِاللَّهِ ، وَعُقُوقُ الْوَالِدَيْنِ " .
Narrated Abu Bakra: Allah's Apostle said, "Shall I inform you of the biggest of the great sins?" They said, "Yes, O Allah's Apostle!" He said, "To join partners in worship with Allah, and to be undutiful to one's parents. "
قَالَ خَبَّابٌ : أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُتَوَسِّدٌ بُرْدَةً ، قُلْتُ : أَلَا تَدْعُو اللَّهَ ، فَقَعَدَ.
Khabbab bin Al-Aratt (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) while he was reclining on a cloak. I said: Will you not supplicate to Allah? (Upon hearing this) he sat up straight.
Hadith 6273
قَالَ خَبَّابٌ : أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُتَوَسِّدٌ بُرْدَةً ، قُلْتُ : أَلَا تَدْعُو اللَّهَ ، فَقَعَدَ.

Hadith 6274
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ ، مِثْلَهُ ، وَكَانَ مُتَّكِئًا فَجَلَسَ ، فَقَالَ : " أَلَا وَقَوْلُ الزُّورِ " ، فَمَا زَالَ يُكَرِّرُهَا حَتَّى قُلْنَا : لَيْتَهُ سَكَتَ .
Narrated Bishr: as above (No. 290) adding: The Prophet was reclining (leaning) and then he sat up saying, "And I warn you against giving a false statement." And he kept on saying that warning so much so that we said, "Would that he had stopped."
