The Book of Asking Permission
بَابُ تَسْلِيمِ الصَّغِيرِ عَلَى الْكَبِيرِ:
(7) Chapter. The younger person should greet the older one.
Hadith 6234
وَقَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ : عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : يُسَلِّمُ الصَّغِيرُ عَلَى الْكَبِيرِ ، وَالْمَارُّ عَلَى الْقَاعِدِ ، وَالْقَلِيلُ عَلَى الْكَثِيرِ .
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "The younger person should greet the older one, and the walking person should greet the sitting one, and the small number of persons should greet the large number of persons."
