بَابُ التَّيَمُّنِ فِي دُخُولِ الْمَسْجِدِ وَغَيْرِهِ:
Chapter. While entering the mosque etc., one should start with the right foot.
Hadith 426
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ الْأَشْعَثِ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحِبُّ التَّيَمُّنَ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ فِي شَأْنِهِ كُلِّهِ فِي طُهُورِهِ وَتَرَجُّلِهِ وَتَنَعُّلِهِ " .
Narrated `Aisha: The Prophet used to start every thing from the right (for good things) whenever it was possible in all his affairs; for example: in washing, combing or wearing shoes.
وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَبْدَأُ بِرِجْلِهِ الْيُمْنَى ، فَإِذَا خَرَجَ بَدَأَ بِرِجْلِهِ الْيُسْرَى .
Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would enter the mosque with his right foot first, and when leaving, he would step out with his left foot first.
Hadith 426
وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَبْدَأُ بِرِجْلِهِ الْيُمْنَى ، فَإِذَا خَرَجَ بَدَأَ بِرِجْلِهِ الْيُسْرَى .
