بَابُ قِبْلَةِ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَأَهْلِ الشَّأْمِ وَالْمَشْرِقِ:
Chapter. The Qiblah for the people of Al-Madina, Sham and the East.
Hadith 394
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا أَتَيْتُمُ الْغَائِطَ فَلَا تَسْتَقْبِلُوا الْقِبْلَةَ وَلَا تَسْتَدْبِرُوهَا ، وَلَكِنْ شَرِّقُوا أَوْ غَرِّبُوا " ، قَالَ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ : فَقَدِمْنَا الشَّأْمَ ، فَوَجَدْنَا مَرَاحِيضَ بُنِيَتْ قِبَلَ الْقِبْلَةِ ، فَنَنْحَرِفُ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى ، وَعَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أَيُّوبَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ .
Narrated Abu Aiyub Al-Ansari: The Prophet said, "While defecating, neither face nor turn your back to the Qibla but face either east or west." Abu Aiyub added. "When we arrived in Sham we came across some lavatories facing the Qibla; therefore we turned ourselves while using them and asked for Allah's forgiveness."
لَيْسَ فِي الْمَشْرِقِ وَلاَ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ قِبْلَةٌ ، لِقَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : «لاَ تَسْتَقْبِلُوا الْقِبْلَةَ بِغَائِطٍ أَوْ بَوْلٍ وَلَكِنْ شَرِّقُوا أَوْ غَرِّبُوا».
And (for the people of Madinah and Shaam) the Qiblah is not towards the east or the west. Because the Prophet (peace be upon him) said (specifically regarding the people of Madinah, and the people of Shaam are also included in this): Do not face the Qiblah while relieving yourself, but rather turn your face towards the east or towards the west.
Hadith 394
لَيْسَ فِي الْمَشْرِقِ وَلاَ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ قِبْلَةٌ ، لِقَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : «لاَ تَسْتَقْبِلُوا الْقِبْلَةَ بِغَائِطٍ أَوْ بَوْلٍ وَلَكِنْ شَرِّقُوا أَوْ غَرِّبُوا».
