بَابُ الاِنْبِسَاطِ إِلَى النَّاسِ:
Chapter. To be cheerful with the people.
Hadith 6129
حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو التَّيَّاحِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، يَقُولُ : " إِنْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيُخَالِطُنَا حَتَّى يَقُولَ لِأَخٍ لِي صَغِيرٍ : يَا أَبَا عُمَيْرٍ مَا فَعَلَ النُّغَيْرُ " .
Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet used to mix with us to the extent that he would say to a younger brother of mine, 'O Aba `Umair! What did the Nughair (a kind of bird) do?"
وَقَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ خَالِطِ النَّاسَ وَدِينَكَ لَا تَكْلِمَنَّهُ وَالدُّعَابَةِ مَعَ الْأَهْلِ
And Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Mix with the people, but do not harm your religion because of it." And in this chapter, there is also mention of joking and amusement with family and dependents.
Hadith 6129
وَقَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ خَالِطِ النَّاسَ وَدِينَكَ لَا تَكْلِمَنَّهُ وَالدُّعَابَةِ مَعَ الْأَهْلِ
And Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Mix with the people, but do not harm your religion because of it." And in this chapter, there is also mention of joking and amusement with family and dependents.

Hadith 6130
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : " كُنْتُ أَلْعَبُ بِالْبَنَاتِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَانَ لِي صَوَاحِبُ يَلْعَبْنَ مَعِي ، فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا دَخَلَ يَتَقَمَّعْنَ مِنْهُ فَيُسَرِّبُهُنَّ إِلَيَّ فَيَلْعَبْنَ مَعِي " .
Narrated `Aisha: I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet, and my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah's Apostle used to enter (my dwelling place) they used to hide themselves, but the Prophet would call them to join and play with me. (The playing with the dolls and similar images is forbidden, but it was allowed for `Aisha at that time, as she was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty.)
