كتاب الأضاحيThe Book of Al-Adahi
بَابٌ في أُضْحِيَّةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِكَبْشَيْنِ أَقْرَنَيْنِ وَيُذْكَرُ سَمِينَيْنِ:
Chapter. The Prophet slaughtered two horned rams which, it is mentioned, were fat ones.
Hadith 5553
حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ صُهَيْبٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُضَحِّي بِكَبْشَيْنِ ، وَأَنَا أُضَحِّي بِكَبْشَيْنِ " .
Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet used to offer two rams as sacrifices, and I also used to offer two rams.
وَقَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ بْنَ سَهْلٍ ، قَالَ : " كُنَّا نُسَمِّنُ الْأُضْحِيَّةَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ ، وَكَانَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ يُسَمِّنُونَ "
And Yahya bin Sa'id narrated that I heard Abu Umamah bin Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) say, "We used to feed and fatten the sacrificial animal in Madinah, and the common Muslims would also fatten the sacrificial animal in the same way."
Hadith 5553
وَقَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أُمَامَةَ بْنَ سَهْلٍ ، قَالَ : " كُنَّا نُسَمِّنُ الْأُضْحِيَّةَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ ، وَكَانَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ يُسَمِّنُونَ "
And Yahya bin Sa'id narrated that I heard Abu Umamah bin Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) say, "We used to feed and fatten the sacrificial animal in Madinah, and the common Muslims would also fatten the sacrificial animal in the same way."

Hadith 5554
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ " أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ انْكَفَأَ إِلَى كَبْشَيْنِ أَقْرَنَيْنِ أَمْلَحَيْنِ ، فَذَبَحَهُمَا بِيَدِهِ " ، ، تَابَعَهُ وُهَيْبٌ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ وَقَالَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، وَحَاتِمُ بْنُ وَرْدَانَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ .
Narrated Anas: Allah's Apostle came towards two horned rams having black and white colors and slaughtered them with his own hands.
Hadith 5555
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَعْطَاهُ غَنَمًا يَقْسِمُهَا عَلَى صَحَابَتِهِ ضَحَايَا ، فَبَقِيَ عَتُودٌ ، فَذَكَرَهُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : ضَحِّ أَنْتَ بِهِ "
Narrated `Uqba bin 'Amir: that the Prophet gave him some sheep to distribute among his companions to slaughter as sacrifices (`Id--al--Adha). A kid was left and he told the Prophet of that whereupon he said to him, "Slaughter it as a sacrifice (on your behalf).
