بَابُ مَا يُكْرَهُ مِنَ الثُّومِ وَالْبُقُولِ:
Chapter. What is disliked as regarding the eating of garlic or other (bad smelling vegetables).
Hadith 5451
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، قَالَ : قِيلَ لِأَنَسٍ : مَا سَمِعْتَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي الثُّومِ ، فَقَالَ : مَنْ أَكَلَ فَلَا يَقْرَبَنَّ مَسْجِدَنَا " .
Narrated `Abdul `Aziz: It was said to Anas "What did you hear the Prophet saying about garlic?" Anas replied, "Whoever has eaten (garlic) should not approach our mosque."
فِيهِ : عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) regarding this matter.
Hadith 5451
فِيهِ : عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) regarding this matter.

Hadith 5452
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَفْوَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَطَاءٌ ، أَنَّ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا زَعَمَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ أَكَلَ ثُومًا أَوْ بَصَلًا فَلْيَعْتَزِلْنَا أَوْ لِيَعْتَزِلْ مَسْجِدَنَا " .
Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah: The Prophet said, "Whoever has eaten garlic or onion should keep away from us (or should keep away from our mosque).'
