كتاب النكاحThe Book of (The Wedlock)
بَابُ إِنْكَاحِ الرَّجُلِ وَلَدَهُ الصِّغَارَ:
Chapter. Giving one’s young children in marriage (is permissible).
Hadith 5133
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَزَوَّجَهَا وَهِيَ بِنْتُ سِتِّ سِنِينَ ، وَأُدْخِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ وَهِيَ بِنْتُ تِسْعٍ ، وَمَكَثَتْ عِنْدَهُ تِسْعًا " .
Narrated `Aisha: that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).
لِقَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى : وَاللَّائِي لَمْ يَحِضْنَ سورة الطلاق آية 4 فَجَعَلَ عِدَّتَهَا ثَلَاثَةَ أَشْهُرٍ قَبْلَ الْبُلُوغِ .
The evidence for this is that Allah has said (in Surah At-Talaq) «واللائي لم يحضن» that is, for those women who have not yet menstruated, their waiting period is also three months.
Hadith 5133
