The Book of The Virtues of The Quran
بَابُ مَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَسْمَعَ الْقُرْآنَ مِنْ غَيْرِهِ:
(32) Chapter. Whoever likes to hear the Quran from another person.
Hadith 5049
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اقْرَأْ عَلَيَّ الْقُرْآنَ ، قُلْتُ : أَأَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَيْكَ أُنْزِلَ ، قَالَ : إِنِّي أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَسْمَعَهُ مِنْ غَيْرِي " .
Narrated `Abdullah: That the Prophet said to him, "Recite the Qur'an to me." `Abdullah said, "Shall I recite (the Qur'an) to you while it has been revealed to you?" He said, "I like to hear it from others."
