Hadith 4937
حدَّثَنَا آدَمُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ زُرَارَةَ بْنَ أَوْفَى ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ وَهُوَ حَافِظٌ لَهُ مَعَ السَّفَرَةِ الْكِرَامِ الْبَرَرَةِ ، وَمَثَلُ الَّذِي يَقْرَأُ القرآن وَهُوَ يَتَعَاهَدُهُ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ شَدِيدٌ فَلَهُ أَجْرَانِ " .
Narrated Aisha: The Prophet said, "Such a person as recites the Qur'an and masters it by heart, will be with the noble righteous scribes (in Heaven). And such a person exerts himself to learn the Qur'an by heart, and recites it with great difficulty, will have a double reward."
عَبَسَ وَتَوَلَّى : كَلَحَ وَأَعْرَضَ ، وَقَالَ غَيْرُهُ : مُطَهَّرَةٍ : لَا يَمَسُّهَا إِلَّا الْمُطَهَّرُونَ وَهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَهَذَا مِثْلُ قَوْلِهِ : فَالْمُدَبِّرَاتِ أَمْرًا : جَعَلَ الْمَلَائِكَةَ وَالصُّحُفَ مُطَهَّرَةً لِأَنَّ الصُّحُفَ يَقَعُ عَلَيْهَا التَّطْهِيرُ ، فَجُعِلَ التَّطْهِيرُ لِمَنْ حَمَلَهَا أَيْضًا سَفَرَةٍ : الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَاحِدُهُمْ سَافِرٌ سَفَرْتُ أَصْلَحْتُ بَيْنَهُمْ وَجُعِلَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ إِذَا نَزَلَتْ بِوَحْيِ اللَّهِ وَتَأْدِيَتِهِ كَالسَّفِيرِ الَّذِي يُصْلِحُ بَيْنَ الْقَوْمِ ، وَقَالَ غَيْرُهُ : تَصَدَّى : تَغَافَلَ عَنْهُ ، وَقَالَ مُجَاهِدٌ : لَمَّا يَقْضِ لَا يَقْضِي أَحَدٌ مَا أُمِرَ بِهِ ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : تَرْهَقُهَا : تَغْشَاهَا شِدَّةٌ ، مُسْفِرَةٌ : مُشْرِقَةٌ ، بِأَيْدِي سَفَرَةٍ ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : كَتَبَةٍ أَسْفَارًا : كُتُبًا ، تَلَهَّى : تَشَاغَلَ يُقَالُ وَاحِدُ الْأَسْفَارِ سِفْرٌ .
«عبس‏» turned his face away. «تولى» turned his face away. Others said «مطهرة‏» in another place He said «لا يمسها إلا المطهرون» only those touch it who are pure, meaning the angels, so the attribute of the carried was made the attribute of the carrier, just as «فالمدبرات أمرا‏», by «فالمدبرات» is meant the riders (who are carried), «مجازا» their carriers, that is, the horses, are called «مدبرات». «والصحف مطهرة» here originally «تطهير» is the attribute of the books, but their carriers, that is, the angels, are also called «مطهر». «سفرة‏» angels, this is the plural of «سافر», the Arabs say «سفرت بين القوم», meaning he reconciled among the people of the tribe; the angels who bring Allah’s revelation to the prophets are also called «سفير», the one who brings people together. Some said «سفرة‏» means writers, and others said «تصدى‏» means to be heedless. Mujahid said «لما يقض‏ ما امره» means that a person did not fully perform what he was commanded, and Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, said «ترهقها‏ قترة» means that hardship will befall him. «مسفرة‏» means shining. Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, said «سفرة‏» means writers; in Surah al-Jumu‘ah, the word «أسفارا‏» is from the same root, meaning books. «تلهى‏» means to be heedless, they say «الأسفار», which is in the meaning of books. «سفر‏.‏» is the plural with kasrah on the letter seen.
