بَابُ قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {مِنْ بَعْدِي اسْمُهُ أَحْمَدُ} :
Chapter. “[And (remember) when Isa (Jesus), son of Mary said: "O Children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allah unto you, confirming the Torah (which came) before me, and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come] after me, whose name shall be Ahmad.” (61:6)

Hadith 4896
وَقَالَ مُجَاهِدٌ : مَنْ أَنْصَارِي إِلَى اللَّهِ : مَنْ يَتَّبِعُنِي إِلَى اللَّهِ ، وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ : مَرْصُوصٌ : مُلْصَقٌ بَعْضُهُ بِبَعْضٍ ، وَقَالَ يَحْيَى : بِالرَّصَاصِ .
Mujahid said the meaning of «من أنصاري إلى الله» is: Who goes towards Allah along with me? And Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said «مرصوص» means firmly joined, attached, and others said: joined together with lead.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " إِنَّ لِي أَسْمَاءً أَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، وَأَنَا أَحْمَدُ ، وَأَنَا الْمَاحِي الَّذِي يَمْحُو اللَّهُ بِيَ الْكُفْرَ ، وَأَنَا الْحَاشِرُ الَّذِي يُحْشَرُ النَّاسُ عَلَى قَدَمِي ، وَأَنَا الْعَاقِبُ " .
Narrated Jubair bin Mut`im: I heard Allah's Messenger saying, 'I have several names: I am Muhammad and I am Ahmad, and I am Al- Mahi with whom Allah obliterates Kufr (disbelief), and I am Al-Hashir (gatherer) at whose feet (i.e. behind whom) the people will be gathered (on the Day of Resurrection), and I am Al-Aqib (i.e. who succeeds the other prophets in bringing about good).
