بَابُ: {وَمَا يُهْلِكُنَا إِلاَّ الدَّهْرُ} الآيَةَ:
Chapter.
Hadith 4826
جَاثِيَةً : مُسْتَوْفِزِينَ عَلَى الرُّكَبِ ، وَقَالَ مُجَاهِدٌ : نَسْتَنْسِخُ : نَكْتُبُ ، نَنْسَاكُمْ : نَتْرُكُكُمْ .
«جاثية» means that due to fear, the people of the Gathering will be on their knees. Mujahid said that «نستنسخ» means «نكتب», that is, We write it down. «ننساكم» i.e. «نترككم » We will forget you, meaning We will leave you.
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ : يُؤْذِينِي ابْنُ آدَمَ يَسُبُّ الدَّهْرَ ، وَأَنَا الدَّهْرُ بِيَدِي الْأَمْرُ أُقَلِّبُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ " .
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger said, "Allah said, 'The son of Adam hurts me for he abuses Time though I am Time: in My Hands are all things, and I cause the revolution of day and night.'
