Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said the meaning of «هاد‏» is "the caller," "the guide" (referring to a prophet or messenger). Narrated Ibn `Umar: While we were with Allah's Messenger he said, "Tell me of a tree which resembles a Muslim man.
