Hadith 4680

In «على نجوة من الأرض», «نجوة» means «وهو النشز المكان المرتفع», that is, We will place your corpse on «نجوة» (a high place) so that everyone may see it and take a lesson.
Narrated Ibn `Abbas: When the Prophet arrived at Medina, the Jews were observing the fast on 'Ashura' (10th of Muharram) and they said, "This is the day when Moses became victorious over Pharaoh," On that, the Prophet said to his companions, "You (Muslims) have more right to celebrate Moses' victory than they have, so observe the fast on this day."
And Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that the meaning of «فاختلط» is that due to the falling of rain, every kind of greenery grows from the earth. That is, the Christians say that Allah has taken a son. Glory be to Allah, He is free of need. And Zaid bin Aslam said that by «أن لهم قدم صدق», Muhammad (peace be upon him) is meant. And Mujahid stated that by this, goodness is meant. In «تلك آيات», «تلك», which is for the present, actually refers to the absent. That is, these are the signs of the Qur'an, similarly in this verse. In «حتى إذا كنتم في الفلك وجرين بهم», by «بهم», «بكم.» is meant, that is, from the absent, the present is meant. «دعواهم» i.e. «دعاؤهم», their supplication «أحيط بهم», that is, they came close to destruction and ruin, just as «أحاطت به خطيئته», that is, sins surrounded him from all sides. «فاتبعهم» and «وأتبعهم» have the same meaning. «عدوا», derived from «عدوان.». Regarding verse «يعجل الله للناس الشر استعجالهم بالخير», Mujahid said that it means when a person, in anger, says about his children and his wealth: "O Allah! Do not bless it and keep it away from Your mercy," then (sometimes their supplication is not accepted) because the decree of their destiny has already been decided, and (sometimes) the one against whom the supplication is made is destroyed and ruined. In «للذين أحسنوا الحسنى», Mujahid said that by «زيادة», forgiveness and Allah's pleasure are meant; other people said that by «وزيادة», the vision of Allah is meant. By «الكبرياء», sovereignty and kingship are meant.
