Narrated Ibn `Abbas: When the Verse:-- 'And warn your tribe of near kindred.' (26.214) was revealed, the Prophet started calling (the 'Arab tribes), "O Bani Fihr, O Bani `Adi" mentioning first the various branch tribes of Quraish.
And Abdullah bin Umar and Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with them) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The noble, son of the noble, son of the noble, son of the noble—Yusuf, son of Yaqub, son of Ishaq, son of Ibrahim, the Friend of Allah (peace be upon them all)." And Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I am the son of Abdul Muttalib."
