بَابُ: {يَعْكِفُونَ عَلَى أَصْنَامٍ لَهُمْ} :
Chapter. Allah’s Statement: “...And they came upon a people devoted to some of their idols (in worship)...” (V.7:138)
Hadith 3406
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَجْنِي الْكَبَاثَ ، وَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْأَسْوَدِ مِنْهُ فَإِنَّهُ أَطْيَبُهُ ، قَالُوا : أَكُنْتَ تَرْعَى الْغَنَمَ ، قَالَ : وَهَلْ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا وَقَدْ رَعَاهَا " .
Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah: We were with Allah's Apostle picking the fruits of the 'Arak trees, and Allah's Apostle said, "Pick the black fruit, for it is the best." The companions asked, "Were you a shepherd?" He replied, "There was no prophet who was not a shepherd."
مُتَبَّرٌ سورة الأعراف آية 139 خُسْرَانٌ وَلِيُتَبِّرُوا سورة الإسراء آية 7 يُدَمِّرُوا مَا عَلَوْا سورة الإسراء آية 7 مَا غَلَبُوا .
And in this Surah, the meaning of «متبر» is destruction, loss. In Surah Bani Isra'il, the meaning of «وليتبروا» is to ruin. The meaning of «ما علوا» is wherever they gain authority, become dominant.
Hadith 3406
مُتَبَّرٌ سورة الأعراف آية 139 خُسْرَانٌ وَلِيُتَبِّرُوا سورة الإسراء آية 7 يُدَمِّرُوا مَا عَلَوْا سورة الإسراء آية 7 مَا غَلَبُوا .
And in this Surah, the meaning of «متبر» is destruction, loss. In Surah Bani Isra'il, the meaning of «وليتبروا» is to ruin. The meaning of «ما علوا» is wherever they gain authority, become dominant.
