بَابُ خَلْقِ آدَمَ صَلَوَاتُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ:
Chapter. The creation of Adam and his offspring.
2 بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلاَئِكَةِ إِنِّي جَاعِلٌ فِي الأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً} :(1b) Chapter.
3 بَابُ الأَرْوَاحُ جُنُودٌ مُجَنَّدَةٌ:Chapter. Souls are like recruited troops.
4 بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَى قَوْمِهِ} :Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And indeed We sent Nuh (Noah) to his people..." (V.11:25)
5 بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَى قَوْمِهِ أَنْ أَنْذِرْ قَوْمَكَ مِنْ قَبْلِ أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ} إِلَى آخِرِ السُّورَةِ:(3b) Chapter.
6 بَابُ: {وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ أَلاَ تَتَّقُونَ أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلاً وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ الْخَالِقِينَ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ آبَائِكُمُ الأَوَّلِينَ فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ إِلاَّ عِبَادَ اللَّهِ الْمُخْلَصِينَ وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِي الآخِرِينَ} :Chapter. (The Statement of Allah ): “And Verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? (up to) and We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among the later generations." (V.37:123-129)
7 بَابُ ذِكْرِ إِدْرِيسَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ وَقَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَرَفَعْنَاهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّا} :Chapter. The reference to Idris. He was Nuh’s (Noah) great-grandfather, and it is said that he was Nuh’s grandfather. The Statement of Allah: "We raised him (i.e., Idris) to a high station". (V.19:57)
8 بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَإِلَى عَادٍ أَخَاهُمْ هُودًا قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ} ، وَقَوْلِهِ: {إِذْ أَنْذَرَ قَوْمَهُ بِالأَحْقَافِ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْقَوْمَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ} :Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And to Ad (people, We sent), their brother Hud.” (V.7:65) And Allah’s Statement: "When he warned his people in Al-Ahqaf...(till the end of the Verse...) Thus do We recompense the people who are Mujrimun." (V.46:21-25)
9 بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {وَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِرِيحٍ صَرْصَرٍ} شَدِيدَةٍ:(6b) And also the Statement of Allah: " And as for Ad, they were destroyed by a furious violent wind!"
10 بَابُ قِصَّةِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ:Chapter. The story of Gog and Magog.
11 بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَاتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلاً} :Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “...And Allah did take Ibrahim (Abraham) as a Khalil (an intimate friend)." (V.4:125)

14 بَابُ قَوْلُهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {وَنَبِّئْهُمْ عَنْ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ} :Chapter. Allah’s Statement: “And tell them about the guests (the angels) of Ibrahim (Abraham).” (V.15:51).
15 بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ إِنَّهُ كَانَ صَادِقَ الْوَعْدِ} :Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And mention in the Book (the Qur’an) Ismail (Ishmael): Verily! He was true to what he promised...” (V.19:54)
16 بَابُ قِصَّةِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلاَمُ:Chapter. The story of Ishaq (Isaac), the son of Ibrahim (Abraham).
17 بَابُ: {أَمْ كُنْتُمْ شُهَدَاءَ إِذْ حَضَرَ يَعْقُوبَ الْمَوْتُ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: {وَنَحْنُ لَهُ مُسْلِمُونَ} :Chapter.
18 بَابُ: {وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ أَتَأْتُونَ الْفَاحِشَةَ وَأَنْتُمْ تُبْصِرُونَ أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الرِّجَالَ شَهْوَةً مِنْ دُونِ النِّسَاءِ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ قَوْمٌ تَجْهَلُونَ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلاَّ أَنْ قَالُوا أَخْرِجُوا آلَ لُوطٍ مِنْ قَرْيَتِكُمْ إِنَّهُمْ أُنَاسٌ يَتَطَهَّرُونَ فَأَنْجَيْنَاهُ وَأَهْلَهُ إِلاَّ امْرَأَتَهُ قَدَّرْنَاهَا مِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مَطَرًا فَسَاءَ مَطَرُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ} :Chapter. “And (remember) Lout (Lot)! When he said to his people, Do you commit Al-Fahishah (evil, great sins, every kind of unlawful sexual intercourse, sodomy) (up to) so, evil was the rain of those who were warned." (V.27:54-58)
19 بَابُ: {فَلَمَّا جَاءَ آلَ لُوطٍ الْمُرْسَلُونَ قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ قَوْمٌ مُنْكَرُونَ} :Chapter. “Then, when the messengers (the angels) came unto the family of Lout, he said, ’Verily you are people unknown to me.’ ” (V.15:61,62)
20 بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَإِلَى ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمْ صَالِحًا} :Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And to Thamud (people, We sent) their brother Salih...” (V.7:73).
21 بَابُ: {أَمْ كُنْتُمْ شُهَدَاءَ إِذْ حَضَرَ يَعْقُوبَ الْمَوْتُ} :Chapter. "Or were you witnesses when death approached Yaqub (Jacob)?.. (V.2:133)
22 بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {لَقَدْ كَانَ فِي يُوسُفَ وَإِخْوَتِهِ آيَاتٌ لِلسَّائِلِينَ} :Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “Verily, in Yasuf (Joseph) and his brethren there were Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelation, etc.) for those who ask." (V.12:7)
23 بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَأَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنْتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ} :Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And Ayyub, when he cried to his Lord: ’Verily, distress has seized me, and You are the Most Mercifull of all those who show mercy.’ ”(V.21:83)
24 بَابُ: {وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ مُوسَى إِنَّهُ كَانَ مُخْلِصًا وَكَانَ رَسُولاً نَبِيًّا وَنَادَيْنَاهُ مِنْ جَانِبِ الطُّورِ الأَيْمَنِ وَقَرَّبْنَاهُ نَجِيًّا} كَلَّمَهُ:Chapter: And mention in the book (this Quran) Musa (Moses). Verily! He was chosen and he was a Messenger (and) a Prophet. And We called him from the right side of the Mount, and made him to draw near to Us for a talk with him.’ (Musa). (V.19:51,52)
25 بَابُ: {وَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مُؤْمِنٌ مِنْ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: {مُسْرِفٌ كَذَّابٌ} :Chapter: "And a believing man of Firaun’s (Pharaoh) family, who hid his faith said.. (up to).. A Musrif (a polytheist, or a murderer who shed blood without a right, or those who commit great sins, oppressor, transgressor), a liar!" (V.40:28)
26 بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: {وَهَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَى إِذْ رَأَى نَارًا} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: {بِالْوَادِي الْمُقَدَّسِ طُوًى} :Chapter. The Statement of Allah: "And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? When he saw a fire.. (up to ).. in the acred vally, Tuwa." (V.20:9-12)
27 بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَهَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَى} ، {وَكَلَّمَ اللَّهُ مُوسَى تَكْلِيمًا} :Chapter: The Statement of Allah: " Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)?" (V.79:15) And Allah’s Statement: "...And to Moses Allah spoke directly." (V.4:164)
28 بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَوَاعَدْنَا مُوسَى ثَلاَثِينَ لَيْلَةً وَأَتْمَمْنَاهَا بِعَشْرٍ فَتَمَّ مِيقَاتُ رَبِّهِ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً وَقَالَ مُوسَى لأَخِيهِ هَارُونَ اخْلُفْنِي فِي قَوْمِي وَأَصْلِحْ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعْ سَبِيلَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ وَلَمَّا جَاءَ مُوسَى لِمِيقَاتِنَا وَكَلَّمَهُ رَبُّهُ قَالَ رَبِّ أَرِنِي أَنْظُرْ إِلَيْكَ قَالَ لَنْ تَرَانِي} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: {وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ} :Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And We appointed for Musa (Moses) thirty nights... (up to)... And I am the first of the believers’ (V.7:142,143)
29 بَابُ طُوفَانٍ مِنَ السَّيْلِ:Chapter. Torrential flood. (Explanation of few Arabic words not translated).
30 بَابُ حَدِيثِ الْخَضِرِ مَعَ مُوسَى- عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلاَمُ-:Chapter. The story of Al-Khidr with Musa (Moses).
31 بَابٌ:Chapter.
32 بَابُ: {يَعْكِفُونَ عَلَى أَصْنَامٍ لَهُمْ} :Chapter. Allah’s Statement: “...And they came upon a people devoted to some of their idols (in worship)...” (V.7:138)
33 بَابُ: {وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَى لِقَوْمِهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تَذْبَحُوا بَقَرَةً} الآيَةَ:Chapter. "And (remember) when Musa (Moses) said to his people: ’Verily, Allah commands you that you slaughter a cow...’ " (V.2:67) (Explanation of some Arabic word not translated).
34 بَابُ وَفَاةِ مُوسَى، وَذِكْرُهُ بَعْدُ:Chapter. The death of Musa (Moses) and his remembrance after his death.
35 بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلاً لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا امْرَأَةَ فِرْعَوْنَ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: {وَكَانَتْ مِنَ الْقَانِتِينَ} :Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And Allah has set forth an example for those who believe, the wife of Firaun (Pharaoh)... (up to)... and she was of the Qanitin (i.e., obedient to Allah).” (V.66:11,12)
36 بَابُ: {إِنَّ قَارُونَ كَانَ مِنْ قَوْمِ مُوسَى} الآيَةَ:Chapter. "Verily, Qarun (Korah) was of Musa’s (Moses) people..." (V.28:76)
37 بَابُ: {وَإِلَى مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًا} :Chapter: The Statement of Allah: “And to (the people of) Madyan (Midian), (We sent) their brother Shuaib...” (V.11:84)
38 بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: {فَمَتَّعْنَاهُمْ إِلَى حِينٍ} :Chapter: The Statement of Allah: “And verily, Yunus 9Jonah) was one of the Messengers... (up to)... And he had done an act worthy of blame." (V.37:139-148)
39 بَابُ: {وَاسْأَلْهُمْ عَنِ الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِي كَانَتْ حَاضِرَةَ الْبَحْرِ إِذْ يَعْدُونَ فِي السَّبْتِ} :Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And ask them (O Muhammad (p.b.u.h)) about the town that was by the sea.
40 بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَآتَيْنَا دَاوُدَ زَبُورًا} :Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And to David We gave the Zabur (Psalms)..." (V.4:163) ".
41 بَابُ أَحَبُّ الصَّلاَةِ إِلَى اللَّهِ صَلاَةُ دَاوُدَ:Chapter. The most beloved Salat (prayer) to Allah was the SaIat (prayer) of (the Prophet) Dawud (David).
42 بَابُ: {وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا دَاوُدَ ذَا الأَيْدِ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: {وَفَصْلَ الْخِطَابِ} :Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “...And remember Our slave Dawud (David), endued with power. Verily, he was ever oft-returning in all matters and in repentance (toward Allah)... (up to)... And sound judgement in speech and decision." (V.38:17-20)
43 بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَوَهَبْنَا لِدَاوُدَ سُلَيْمَانَ نِعْمَ الْعَبْدُ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ} :Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And to Dawud (David) We gave Sulaiman (Solomon). How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)." (V.38:30)
44 بَابُ قَوْلُ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا لُقْمَانَ الْحِكْمَةَ أَنِ اشْكُرْ لِلَّهِ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: {إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخْتَالٍ فَخُورٍ} :Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And indeed We bestowed upon Luqman Al-Hikmah (wisdom and religious understanding) (up to) a great Zulm (wrong) indeed.” (V.31:12,13)
45 بَابُ: {وَاضْرِبْ لَهُمْ مَثَلاً أَصْحَابَ الْقَرْيَةِ} الآيَةَ:Chapter. "And put forward to them a similitude; the (story of the) Dwellers of the Town [It is said that the town was Antioch (Antakiya) - now it is a town in Turkey]." (V.36:13)
46 بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {ذِكْرُ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّكَ عَبْدَهُ زَكَرِيَّاءَ إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ نِدَاءً خَفِيًّا قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَهَنَ الْعَظْمُ مِنِّي وَاشْتَعَلَ الرَّأْسُ شَيْبًا} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: {لَمْ نَجْعَلْ لَهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ سَمِيًّا} .Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “(This is) a mention of the mercy of your Lord to His slave Zakariya (Zachariah)... (up to) We have given that name to none before (him)”. (V.19:2-7)
47 بَابُ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ مَرْيَمَ إِذِ انْتَبَذَتْ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا مَكَانًا شَرْقِيًّا} :Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And mention in the Book (the Quran, O Muhammad (p.b.u.h), the story of) Maryam (Mary), when she withdrew in seclusion from her family to a place facing east." (V.19:16).
48 بَابُ: {وَإِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ يَا مَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ اصْطَفَاكِ وَطَهَّرَكِ وَاصْطَفَاكِ عَلَى نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ} :Chapter. “And (remember) when the angels said: ‘O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allah has chosen you... (up to)... As to which of them should be charged with the care of Maryam (Mary)..." (V.3:42-44)
49 بَابُ قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {إِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ يَا مَرْيَمُ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ: {فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُنْ فَيَكُونُ} :Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “(Remember) when the angels said: O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allah gives you glad tidings of a Word [Be! - and he was! i.e., Isa (Jesus) the son of Maryam] frm Him, his name will be Messiah Isa, the son of Maryam... (up to)... Be! - and it is." (V.3:45:47)
50 بَابُ قَوْلُهُ: {يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لاَ تَغْلُوا فِي دِينِكُمْ وَلاَ تَقُولُوا عَلَى اللَّهِ إِلاَّ الْحَقَّ إِنَّمَا الْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَكَلِمَتُهُ أَلْقَاهَا إِلَى مَرْيَمَ وَرُوحٌ مِنْهُ فَآمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَلاَ تَقُولُوا ثَلاَثَةٌ انْتَهُوا خَيْرًا لَكُمْ إِنَّمَا اللَّهُ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ سُبْحَانَهُ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ وَلَدٌ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الأَرْضِ وَكَفَى بِاللَّهِ وَكِيلاً} :Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “O people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion... (up to )... as a Disposer of affairs." (V.4:171)
51 بَابُ: {وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ مَرْيَمَ إِذِ انْتَبَذَتْ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا} :Chapter. The Statement of Allah: “And mention in the Book (the Quran, O Muhammad (p.b.u.h)) the story of Maryam (Mary), when she withdrew in seclusion from her family...” (V.19:16)
52 بَابُ نُزُولُ عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ عليهما السلام:Chapter. The advent (descent) of Isa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary).
53 بَابُ مَا ذُكِرَ عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ:Chapter. What has been said about Bani Israel.
54 بَابُ حَدِيثُ أَبْرَصَ وَأَعْمَى وَأَقْرَعَ فِي بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ:Chapter. (The tale of three Israelites, a leper, a bald man and a blind man.
55 بَابُ: {أَمْ حَسِبْتَ أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْكَهْفِ وَالرَّقِيمِ} :Chapter. (Allah’s Statement): "Do you think that the people of Cave and the Inscription (the news or the names of the people of the Cave)?’ (V.18:9)
