كتاب المساقاةThe Book of Watering
بَابُ مَنْ قَالَ إِنَّ صَاحِبَ الْمَاءِ أَحَقُّ بِالْمَاءِ حَتَّى يَرْوَى:
Chapter. Whoever said, " The owner of the water has the right to drink till he is satisfied, as a Prophet ﷺ said, Superfluous water should not be withheld from others.
Hadith 2353
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَا يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ لِيُمْنَعَ بِهِ الْكَلَأُ " .
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "Do not withhold the superfluous water, for that will prevent people from grazing their cattle."
حَتَّى يَرْوَى لِقَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَا يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ .
Until he (waters his field, orchards, etc.) is satisfied. Because the Prophet (peace be upon him) said that no one should be prevented from excess water beyond necessity.
Hadith 2353
حَتَّى يَرْوَى لِقَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَا يُمْنَعُ فَضْلُ الْمَاءِ .

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَا تَمْنَعُوا فَضْلَ الْمَاءِ لِتَمْنَعُوا بِهِ فَضْلَ الْكَلَإِ " .
Narrated Abu Huraira: that Allah's Apostle said, "Do not withhold the superfluous water in order to withhold the superfluous grass."
