Narrated Maimuna: Allah's Apostle was asked regarding ghee (cooking butter) in which a mouse had fallen. He said, "Take out the mouse and throw away the ghee around it and use the rest."
Zuhri said that there is no harm in water unless its smell, taste, or color changes. And Hammad says that there is no harm if the feathers of dead birds fall into (the water). As for the bones of dead animals like elephants, Zuhri says: I have seen the early people among the scholars of the Salaf combing their hair with them and putting oil in their (utensils), and they did not see any harm in it. Ibn Sirin and Ibrahim say that there is no harm in trading elephant tusks.
