بَابُ الصَّلاَةِ قَبْلَ الْعِيدِ وَبَعْدَهَا:
Chapter. The offering of Salat (prayer) before or after the Eid prayer.
Hadith 989
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، " أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ لَمْ يُصَلِّ قَبْلَهَا وَلَا بَعْدَهَا وَمَعَهُ بِلَالٌ " .
Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet went out and offered a two rak`at prayer on the Day of `Id ul Fitr and did not offer any other prayer before or after it and at that time Bilal was accompanying him.
وَقَالَ أَبُو الْمُعَلَّى : سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدًا عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ كَرِهَ الصَّلَاةَ قَبْلَ الْعِيدِ .
And Abu Mu’alla Yahya bin Maimoon said that I heard Sa’eed, he narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) that he considered it disliked to perform voluntary prayers before the Eid (prayer).
Hadith 989
وَقَالَ أَبُو الْمُعَلَّى : سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدًا عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ كَرِهَ الصَّلَاةَ قَبْلَ الْعِيدِ .
