The Book of Al-Jumuah (Friday)
بَابُ يَسْتَقْبِلُ الإِمَامُ الْقَوْمَ وَاسْتِقْبَالِ النَّاسِ الإِمَامَ إِذَا خَطَبَ:
(28) Chapter. The facing of the Imam towards the people and the facing of the people towards the Imam during the Khutba (religious talk).
Hadith 921
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَلَسَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ وَجَلَسْنَا حَوْلَهُ " .
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: One day the Prophet sat on the pulpit and we sat around him.
