And Allah the Exalted said (in Surah Al-Jumu'ah) «فاسعوا إلى ذكر الله»: "Hasten to the remembrance of Allah." And its explanation is that whoever said that the meaning of «سعى» is to act and to walk, as is in Surah Bani Isra'il «سعى لها سعيها», here «سعى» has the same meaning. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that buying and selling become forbidden as soon as the call to prayer for Jumu'ah is given. Ata said that all business transactions become forbidden at that time. Ibrahim bin Sa'd narrated from Zuhri that on the day of Jumu'ah, when the mu'adhdhin gives the adhan, even the traveler should participate.
