Hadith Commentary:
When Ali ibn Abi Talib (radi Allahu anhu) intended to propose marriage to the daughter of the accursed enemy of the Ummah, Abu Jahl, at that time the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) delivered a sermon, which has been narrated by Miswar ibn Makhramah (radi Allahu anhu).
Its complete details will be mentioned in the Book of Virtues (Kitab al-Manaqib).
Since it contained the mention of "Amma Ba'du," Imam al-Bukhari (rahimahullah) sufficed with narrating only this much here.
