Hadith Commentary:
What can be said about the greatness of the Prophetic pulpit (minbar)! Alas, it is most regrettable that the enemies even forgot the greatness of this very pulpit, and they showed disrespect to Sayyiduna Uthman al-Ghani radi Allahu anhu upon this very pulpit as well.
Indeed, they have failed and incurred loss in this world and the Hereafter.

Hadith Commentary:

This hadith also describes the greatness of the Prophet’s (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) pulpit (minbar), in that after the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), the Rightly Guided Caliphs (radi Allahu anhum ajma‘in) would use the minbar for important matters and would deliver sermons standing upon it so that all the people would become aware of them.
This also indicates that the Prophet’s minbar remained intact and unchanged up until the era of ‘Uthman (radi Allahu anhu), and no alteration was made to it.
Some narrations show that the Prophet’s minbar continued to exist in its original state for a long time even after ‘Uthman (radi Allahu anhu).
(Fath al-Bari: 13/380)

What can be said about the greatness of the Prophet’s minbar! Yet, it is a matter of deep regret that the enemies of Islam, disregarding the sanctity of this minbar, even committed the offense of insulting our master ‘Uthman (radi Allahu anhu) upon this very minbar.
We seek refuge with Allah (al-‘iyadhu billah).
