Narrated Abu Musa: The Prophet said, "Near the establishment of the Hour there will be days during which (religious) knowledge will be taken away (vanish) and general ignorance will spread, and there will be Al-Harj in abundance, and Al-Harj means killing."

Benefits and Issues:
(1)
Killing among Muslims over trivial matters is a sign of the Day of Judgment.
This is such an evil trait
which, until the recent past, did not exist in such abundance, even though many other tribulations were present.
(2)
The purpose of forewarning about a tribulation is that every Muslim should strive harder to avoid it; therefore, it is the duty of the scholars and rulers to reflect upon its causes and strive for its prevention.
(3)
A Muslim should act with understanding and should not make differences a justification for bloodshed.
(4)
The differences among the noble Companions (radi Allahu anhum) were based on sincerity and due to misunderstanding.
Therefore, it became possible for them to reform themselves, free from the influence of the propaganda of misguided people.
Due to the selflessness and prudence of Hasan (radi Allahu anhu), the Muslims became united once again.
(5)
When discussing the differences among the noble Companions (radi Allahu anhum), it is not permissible to adopt a tone that is contrary to respect regarding any Companion.
