Hadith 7034

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Abbas: Allah's Apostle said, "While I was sleeping, two golden bangles were put in my two hands, so I got scared (frightened) and disliked it, but I was given permission to blow them off, and they flew away. I interpret it as a symbol of two liars who will appear." 'Ubaidullah said, "One of them was Al-`Ansi who was killed by Fairuz at Yemen and the other was Musailama (at Najd) .

Hadith Commentary:
1.
The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) interpreted the vision of golden bangles as referring to two extremely lying impostors, because lying is to report something contrary to reality and to place speech in an inappropriate context. When the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) saw golden bangles on his hands—which were not in their proper place, as this is not an adornment for men but rather something worn by women—he (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) concluded that soon two such impostors would appear whose claims would not be based on reality. Then, when he (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was permitted to blow upon them and they disappeared with his breath, this also indicated that they would not have permanence. The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) was certain that the matter of these two was entirely false, and thus he (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) immediately interpreted the vision.

2.
The scholars of dream interpretation have written that if a person sees himself flying in a dream, then if he flies straight towards the sky, he will suffer some harm. If he disappears into the sky and does not return, he will soon die; if he returns, he will recover from illness. If he flies horizontally, then a journey awaits him, and according to the extent of his flight, he will attain elevation and high status.
