صحيح البخاري Sahih Bukhari كتاب الديات The Book of Ad-Diyait (Blood - Money) بَابُ مَنْ أَخَذَ حَقَّهُ أَوِ اقْتَصَّ دُونَ السُّلْطَانِ: (15) Chapter. Whoever took his right or retaliation from somebody without submitting the case to the ruler.

Hadith 6888

وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ " لَوِ اطَّلَعَ فِي بَيْتِكَ أَحَدٌ وَلَمْ تَأْذَنْ لَهُ ، خَذَفْتَهُ بِحَصَاةٍ ، فَفَقَأْتَ عَيْنَهُ ، مَا كَانَ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ جُنَاحٍ " .
And added, "If someone is peeping (looking secretly) into your house without your permission, and you throw a stone at him and destroy his eyes, there will be no blame on you."
