Hadith 6832

Umar bin Al-Khattab also exiled such a person, and this tradition is still valid.

Hadith Commentary:
These ahadith refute the Hanafi school’s position, which prescribes exile as a punishment and claims that the Qur’an mentions only one hundred lashes.
We say: Those from whom the Qur’an was conveyed to you are the very ones who exiled the adulterer, and the hadith is just as obligatory to act upon as the Qur’an.
