Haritha said that he heard the Prophet saying that his Lake-Fount would be as large as the distance between Sana' and Medina. Al- Mustaurid said to Haritha, "Didn't you hear him talking about the vessels?" He said, "No." Al- Mustaurid said, "The vessels are seen in it as (numberless as) the stars."

Hadith Commentary:
(1)
In one narration, the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said:
“My cistern’s distance is from Aden to Amman Balqa.”
(Musnad Ahmad: 5/275)
It should be noted that this distance is not a precisely measured distance, such that it would be exactly so many miles, so many furlongs, or so many yards. Rather, this statement was made according to common usage, as an estimation, in order to convey the vastness of the cistern. The meaning is that the breadth and length of the cistern will extend for hundreds of miles.
(2)
In the first hadith, the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has drawn the attention of this ummah towards indifference to the world. Its meaning is that if we sincerely wish to meet the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam at the Pond of Kawthar and desire to drink from the cups of the Pond of Kawthar from his blessed hands, then we should turn away from worldliness and remain concerned with preparing for the Hereafter, as we have already explained earlier.
