Hadith 6556

Abu Sa`id added: "As you see a glittering star remaining in the eastern horizon and the western horizon."

Hadith Commentary:
Some have read "ghaarib" as "ghaabir," meaning that star which remains (i.e., is left behind).
The meaning is that just as this star appears very distant and shining, in the same way, the dwellings of the inhabitants of Paradise who are in the highest ranks will be visible from afar.
O Allah! By Your grace and mercy, include us among them as well.
Ameen.

Hadith Commentary:
(1)
Just as a shining star is visible from afar on the eastern or western horizon, in the same way, the upper chambers and dwellings of the people of Paradise who possess elevated ranks will also be visible from a distance in Paradise.
O Allah! Include us among those people as well, and admit us, along with our families, parents, sisters, and brothers, into Jannat al-Firdaws.
Ameen, O Lord of the worlds.

(2)
In one narration, the noble Companions (radi Allahu anhum) submitted:
O Messenger of Allah! These must be the palaces of the noble Prophets (alayhim as-salam), which no one besides them will attain.
He (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) replied:
“Why not? By the One in Whose hand is my soul! These will be for those who believed in Allah and affirmed the Prophets (alayhim as-salam).”
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Book of the Beginning of Creation, Hadith: 3256)
In a hadith narrated from Ali (radi Allahu anhu), it is mentioned that these palaces will be so inlaid with glass that one will be able to see from inside to outside and from outside to inside.
