Hadith Commentary: (1) In another narration of Sahih al-Bukhari, it is stated that when the people of Paradise enter Paradise and the people of Hell enter Hell, death will be brought forth between them and slaughtered. Then the aforementioned announcement will be made so that the people of Paradise experience utmost joy and the people of Hell experience utmost grief. (Sahih al-Bukhari, al-Riqaq, Hadith: 6548) (2) The purpose of mentioning these hadiths under this heading is to clarify that whoever enters Paradise will not be a guest for just a few days, but will remain therein forever. However, those who enter first, without reckoning, will have an additional distinction in that they will not have to pass through the severe and backbreaking stage of accounting. (Fath al-Bari: 11/504) And Allah knows best.

´It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:` ‘Death will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and made to stand on the Sirat (the Bridge over Hell). It will be said: “O people of Paradise!” And they will look. Anxious and afraid lest they be brought out of the place they are in. Then it will be said: “O people of Hell!” and they will look, hoping that they will be brought out of the place they are in. Then it will be said: “Do you know what this is?” They will say: “Yes, this is Death.” Then the command will be given for it to be slaughtered on the Sirat, and it will be said to both groups: “It is eternal wherever you are, and there will never be any death therein.”

Benefits and Issues:
➊ Death is an existent entity which, on the Day of Resurrection, will appear in a tangible form.
➋ The purpose of manifesting death in a tangible form is so that neither of the two parties (the people of Paradise and the people of Hell) will have any doubt regarding the cessation of death.
➌ The slaughtering of death will be a cause of increased joy for the people of Paradise, and a cause of increased sorrow for the people of Hell.
➍ This announcement will be made after those who are saved due to intercession have entered Paradise, and only those will remain in Hell for whom the decree of eternal abode (khulud) has been established.
