Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri: The Prophet said, "The (planet of) earth will be a bread on the Day of Resurrection, and The resistible (Allah) will topple turn it with His Hand like anyone of you topple turns a bread with his hands while (preparing the bread) for a journey, and that bread will be the entertainment for the people of Paradise." A man from the Jews came (to the Prophet) and said, "May The Beneficent (Allah) bless you, O Abul Qasim! Shall I tell you of the entertainment of the people of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection?" The Prophet said, "Yes." The Jew said, "The earth will be a bread," as the Prophet had said. Thereupon the Prophet looked at us and smiled till his premolar tooth became visible. Then the Jew further said, "Shall I tell you of the udm (additional food taken with bread) they will have with the bread?" He added, "That will be Balam and Nun." The people asked, "What is that?" He said, "It is an ox and a fish, and seventy thousand people will eat of the caudate lobe (i.e. extra lobe) of their livers."

Hadith Gradingمحدثین:أحاديث صحيح البخاريّ كلّها صحيحة
➊ Benefits and Issues: This hadith is present in [صحيح مسلم:2792،7057، مسند عبد بن حميد:962، شرح السنه للبغوي:114،113/15 ح4306 وقال:هذا حديث متفق على صحته، البعث لا بي عوانه اتحاف المهرة:330/5 ح5491] and [التوحيد لابن خزيمه:ص73،74 ح98]. In this, the meaning of «يتكفؤها الجبار بيده...» is that the Compeller (Allah) will turn it over with His hand just as one of you turns over bread on a dining cloth. In this hadith, the attribute of Allah, «يد» (hand), is affirmed, and by means of an example, it is explained that the earth will become flat instead of round. In this hadith, Allah, exalted is He, is by no means likened to the creation, but the objector has written: SA "But Imam Bukhari, in his Sahih, says that Allah, like the servants, will cook bread with His hand and feed it to the people of Paradise... (p. 21)" EA Multani's statement is a blatant lie. In the mentioned hadith, there is absolutely no mention of Allah cooking bread.

Hadith Commentary: Allahu Akbar, what a magnificent and exalted blessing with which the guests will be honored. "Balam" is a Hebrew word; its meaning as "ox" is correct, and "nun" refers to fish—this is an Arabic word. In the Noble Qur'an as well, this word is used for fish. The aforementioned seventy thousand are those people who will enter Paradise without reckoning. Allahumma aj‘alna minhum, Ameen.
