كتاب الرقاقThe Book of Ar-Riqaq (Softening of The Hearts)
بَابُ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «بُعِثْتُ أَنَا وَالسَّاعَةَ كَهَاتَيْنِ»:Chapter. The saying of the Prophet: “I have been sent, and the Hour (is at hand) as these two (fingers).” And the Statement of Allah: "...And the matter of the Hour is not but as a twinkling of the eye, or even nearer. Truly! Allah is Able to do all things." (V.16:77)
Hadith 6504

حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ هُوَ الجُعْفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " بُعِثْتُ أَنَا وَالسَّاعَةَ كَهَاتَيْنِ " .
Narrated Anas: Allah's Apostle said, "I have been sent and the Hour (is at hand) as these two (fingers).

The Statement of the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam Being Khatam an-Nabiyyin (Seal of the Prophets) from a Hadith
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik radi Allahu anhu that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said:
«بعثت أنا والساعة كهاتين»
I and the Hour (Day of Judgment) have been sent like these two (fingers) (close together). [صحيح بخاري: 6504، صحيح مسلم: 2951، دارالسلام: 7404]
By the two fingers are meant the index finger and the middle finger. See: [صحيح مسلم: 7405]
In the explanation of this hadith, Hafiz Ibn Hibban rahimahullah said:
«أراد به أني بعثت والساعة كالسبابة والوسطي من غير أن يكون بيننانبي آخر، لأني آخر الأنبياء و علٰي أمتي تقوم الساعة .»
By this hadith, his intention is that I and the Hour have been sent in such a way as the index finger (the finger of testimony) and the middle finger, that there is no other prophet between us, because I am the last prophet and the Hour will be established upon my Ummah. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik radi Allahu anhu that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said:
«بعثت أنا والساعة كهاتين»
I and the Hour (Day of Judgment) have been sent like these two (fingers) (close together). [صحيح بخاري: 6504، صحيح مسلم: 2951، دارالسلام: 7404]
