Hadith Commentary:
People assumed that this eclipse occurred due to the death of Ibrahim (radi Allahu anhu), but the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) clearly stated that the sun and the moon are not eclipsed because of anyone’s death or life; rather, these are signs of Allah’s power. He shows these signs to His servants whenever He wills.
On such occasions, remember Allah, perform prayer (salah), give charity (sadaqah), and so on.
The findings of modern scientific research in this regard are also, in accordance with the hadith, merely signs of Allah’s power—there is no contradiction.
In Juz’ (para) number 4, this hadith is mentioned in detail, in which all the above details are included.

Hadith Commentary:
(1)
From these narrations, the intention of Imam Bukhari rahimahullah is that it is permissible to name one’s children after the names of the Prophets (alayhimussalam). The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam himself named the child of Abu Musa al-Ash‘ari radi Allahu anhu as Ibrahim, and he also chose the name Ibrahim for his own beloved son. Furthermore, there is an explicit narration regarding this: The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, “The people before you used to name their children after their Prophets and righteous elders.” (Sahih Muslim, al-Adab, Hadith: 5598(2135))

(2)
Hafiz Ibn Hajar rahimahullah has written that the names of the children of Abu Talhah radi Allahu anhu were after the names of the Prophets (alayhimussalam). (Fath al-Bari: 10/709)
