بَابُ عَلاَمَةِ حُبِّ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ:Chapter. The signs of loving (others for the sake of) Allah.
Hadith 6168

لِقَوْلِهِ: {إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّهُ}.
And Allah the Exalted said (in Surah Aal-e-Imran) «إن كنتم تحبون الله فاتبعوني يحببكم الله» "If you love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you."
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " الْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ " .
Narrated `Abdullah: The Prophet said, "Everyone will be with those whom he loves."

Hadith Commentary:
Love is also one of the greatest means of salvation.
However, along with love, obedience to the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) and actions in accordance with the Sunnah are also necessary.
O seeker, walk steadfastly upon the path of the Sunnah; this road leads straight to Jannat al-Firdaws.
