(At that time) the Prophet was sitting and a man came and begged or asked for something. The Prophet faced us and said, "Help and recommend him and you will receive the reward for it, and Allah will bring about what He will through His Prophet's tongue."

Hadith Footnote:
Abu Musa Abdullah bin Qais al-Ash‘ari became Muslim in Mecca.
He participated in the migration to Abyssinia, and presented himself in the service of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) at the time of the conquest of Khaybar.
Umar al-Faruq (radi Allahu anhu) appointed him as the governor of Basra in the year 20 AH. During the caliphate of Uthman, he was removed from there and was on his way to Kufa. He passed away in Mecca in the year 52 AH.

Hadith Commentary:
All Muslims are like a single body, that is, like one body; they should help one another. Whether it is matters of the Hereafter or worldly affairs, it is very important to assist each other in every task, and this act is greatly beloved to Allah Almighty.
The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said:
“Allah continues to help His servant as long as the servant is engaged in helping his brother.”
(Sahih Muslim, al-Birr wa al-Silah, Hadith: 6598(2699))
In any case, assisting a Muslim and striving to fulfill his needs is a cause of reward and recompense in the sight of Allah Almighty.
