The Book of Al-Aqiqa
بَابُ تَسْمِيَةِ الْمَوْلُودِ غَدَاةَ يُولَدُ، لِمَنْ لَمْ يَعُقَّ عَنْهُ، وَتَحْنِيكِهِ:
(1) Chapter. The naming of a newly born child the day it is born, and Al-Aqiqa for it has not (yet) been offered, and its Tahnik.
Hadith 5468
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : " أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِصَبِيٍّ يُحَنِّكُهُ فَبَالَ عَلَيْهِ فَأَتْبَعَهُ الْمَاءَ " .
Narrated `Aisha: A boy was brought to the Prophet to do Tahnik for him, but the boy urinated on him, whereupon the Prophet had water poured on the place of urine.
