Hadith Commentary:
The narration of Muawiyah (radi Allahu anhu) has been connected (mawsul) by Imam Ahmad and Tabarani, and the narration of Ibn Abbas (radi Allahu anhuma) has been connected by Imam Ahmad.
Qurayshi women are naturally endowed with these virtues.
That is why they have been mentioned specifically.
After them, any women who possess these qualities, regardless of which family they belong to, are also deserving of this praise.
Under this hadith, Shah Waliullah Muhaddith Dehlawi rahimahullah states:
The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) clarified that Quraysh women are superior because they are extremely compassionate and kind to their children during their childhood, and they are the most protective of their husband’s wealth and slaves. It is evident that these are the two most important and magnificent objectives among the objectives of marriage, and the management of the household and the system of domestic affairs are connected to them.
Therefore, it is recommended (mustahabb) to marry a woman from such a tribe or family whose habits, character, and manners are good, and in whom the qualities found in Quraysh women are also present.

Hadith Commentary:
(1)
In this hadith, two qualities of Qurayshi women are mentioned:
Firstly, they are very compassionate towards a child during his childhood.
Secondly, they safeguard their husband's wealth.
Among the objectives of marriage, these two are the most important.
Household management and the system of domestic affairs are dependent upon these very qualities; therefore, it is recommended (mustahabb) that, for marriage, a woman possessing these two qualities should be chosen.
(2)
A hadith is narrated from Ibn Abbas (radi Allahu anhu) that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) sent a marriage proposal to a woman from his own tribe whose husband had passed away and who had five or six children from her previous husband, and she was known as "Sawda".
She said:
O Messenger of Allah! There is no one more honorable than you, but I have small children who will disturb your comfort.
At that time, the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) mentioned these two qualities of Qurayshi women.

Hadith Commentary:
(1)
The chapter heading established by Imam Bukhari rahimahullah consists of three components:
The first ruling is established from the hadith, that whoever wishes to marry should marry women from the Quraysh.
The second component is also established from the hadith, that the best women are the women of Quraysh. The third component is established by necessity: when the women of Quraysh are the best, then they should be chosen for the sake of lineage.
(2)
This hadith establishes that, from a familial perspective, Qurayshi women should be brought into marriage, because they are very observant of their husbands’ rights and safeguard their wealth; they do not squander their husbands’ wealth through extravagance. Furthermore, they prove to be responsible in the upbringing and care of children.

Benefit:
In this hadith, the superiority of the women of Quraysh is established, and the best woman is she who is most compassionate towards children and most protective of her husband's wealth. In this hadith, there is mention of women riding camels; from this, it is proven that a woman may travel with a mahram, because this clarification is established from other ahadith. No one should take only this hadith and erroneously conclude that a woman may travel alone, because the absence of mention does not necessitate negation.
