The Book of Divorce
بَابُ الإِشَارَةِ فِي الطَّلاَقِ وَالأُمُورِ:
(24) Chapter. Using gestures to express the decision of divorcing and other matters.
Hadith 5296
حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : يَقُولُ : " الْفِتْنَةُ مِنْ هَا هُنَا ، وَأَشَارَ إِلَى الْمَشْرِقِ " .
Narrated Ibn `Umar: I heard the Prophet saying, "Afflictions will emerge from here," pointing towards the East.
