Narrated Sahl and Abu Usaid: The Prophet married Umaima bint Sharahil, and when she was brought to him, he stretched his hand towards her. It seemed that she disliked that, whereupon the Prophet ordered Abu Usaid to prepare her and to provide her with two white linen dresses.

Hadith Commentary:
The insolent type of antagonists have also sensationalized this incident, whereas their absurdities are nothing but absurdities.
Firstly, the marriage with this woman had taken place, but later, at the time of seclusion, Satan incited her, so she committed this insolence.
The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), upon witnessing this behavior of hers, implicitly divorced her and sent her away with honor and dignity; the matter was thus concluded.
But the enemies always need a pretext.
Truly:
"The rose is a flower, but in the eyes of enemies, it is a thorn."

Hadith Commentary:
(1)
The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) had a formal marriage with Bint al-Jawn, but when they were alone together, Satan deceived her, and she committed an act of insolence towards you. The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), upon observing her condition and behavior, divorced her implicitly (by allusion) and sent her away with honor and dignity.
(2)
From this, Imam Bukhari (rahimahullah) has established both aspects of the chapter heading: that it is permissible to divorce after marriage, even if that divorce is by way of allusion or indirect expression. Furthermore, divorce can be given face-to-face, and separation from the wife can also be effected without directly addressing her.
(3)
It is mentioned in narrations that this woman remained regretful for her entire life and kept saying that she was extremely unfortunate. Unfortunately, the enemies of Islam have greatly sensationalized this incident, even though there is nothing in it that is contrary to reason. And Allah is the One whose help is sought.
(4)
The narration of Hazrat Sahl (radi Allahu anhu) has been detailed by Imam Bukhari (rahimahullah) at another place; it should be reviewed there. (Sahih al-Bukhari, al-Ashriba, Hadith: 5637)
