Narrated Ibn `Abbas: that `Umar entered upon Hafsa and said, "O my daughter! Do not be misled by the manners of her who is proud of her beauty because of the love of Allah's Apostle for her." By 'her' he meant `Aisha. `Umar added, "Then I told that to Allah's Apostle and he smiled (on hearing that).

Hadith Commentary:
(1)
The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) loved Sayyidah Aisha (radi Allahu anha) more than his other wives.
When Umar (radi Allahu anhu) mentioned this in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), he did not deny it, which means that this attitude is not blameworthy.
When a man maintains equality with his other wives in matters of sustenance and provision, but his natural inclination and heartfelt affection is greater towards one, then there is no harm in this.
It was due to this love that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) used to say:
“O Allah! Do not hold me accountable for that which I have no control over, but is in Your control.”
(Sunan Abi Dawud, Kitab al-Nikah, Hadith: 2134)
(2)
It is not possible to be just in love, and Allah, the Exalted, only burdens a person with what he is capable of.
Having more love for someone is not within a person’s control, therefore it is not subject to accountability.
And Allah knows best.
